Listed winner Yulong Warrior the highlight as Goffs HIT Sale comes under orders
The live auction includes drafts from the Aga Khan, Godolphin and Baroda Stud
The Jessica Harrington-trained Yulong Warrior stands out among the lots on offer at this year's online Goffs Horses In Training Sale, in which drafts from Godolphin and the Aga Khan are also up for auction.
A Listed winner at Meydan, the five-year-old son of Street Cry (lot 592) has raced four times for Harrington since leaving Satish Seemar's UAE stables in July and will be consigned by Baroda Stud.
The sale, which takes place from 3pm on Thursday, has been a consistent source of top-class performers, among them this year's Melbourne Cup hero Twilight Payment, who topped the auction when selling from Glebe House Stables to Kerr & Co in 2018, and Balmoral Handicap scorer Njord, consigned by Sheila Lavery in 2019.
Other lots in the catalogue to note this year include the Currabeg Stables-consigned Cinnte Winnte (lot 514), a once-raced daughter of Born To Sea and out of the stakes-placed History Note, Curragh Racing Stable's winning Toronado filly Distant Mirage (lot 539), plus Godolphin's unraced Dawn Approach half-brother to Jebel Hatta winner Dream Castle called Fox Terrier (lot 546).
The Aga Khan’s draft topped last year's sale when Listed Tetrarch Stakes winner Shelir achieved the auction’s highest price when purchased for €70,000 by Jason Kelly, and the team have another attractive representation.
Among the 20-strong consignment is Zarzyni (lot 577), a gelded son of Siyouni who was placed in the Tyros and Lacken Stakes, plus Balmari (lot 571), a winning son of Mukhadram and Derrinstown 1,000 Guineas Trial winner Baliyana.
