Lauro transfers to Coolagown Stud for the 2022 season
Son of Monsun strengthens the roster at David Stack's Cork farm
Coolagown Stud has bolstered its bumper roster of stallions for the 2022 season with the addition of Lauro to the team.
Winner of the Grade 2 Sky Classic Stakes, second in the Grade 1 United Nations Stakes and a son of the outstanding National Hunt influence Monsun, Lauro hails from one of Germany's best families.
Lauro's dam is a half-sister to another Deutsches Derby winner in Laroche and she produced the German champion two-year-old filly Love Academy, dam of the Group 2 winner and Classic-placed Longina.
He arrived in Ireland, at Eamon Duignan's Hayes Stud in 2018 and his first Irish-bred crop will be offered at the store sales this summer. They were bred on the back of the sales-topping purchase of Dlauro for £410,000 at the Tattersalls Cheltenham February Sale that year.
The dark bay joins a strong line-up at Coolagown Stud which includes Group 1 winner Way To Paris and Malinas, sire of this season's Grade 1 Faugheen Novice Chase winner Master McShee.
