Kirtlington Stud estate in Oxfordshire is put on the market
Soulcombe, the farm on which Chris Budgett has bred numerous classy horses as part of Kirtlington Stud, has been put on the market.
Budgett, who has been behind the likes of the outstanding Harbinger, Derby winner Sir Percy and the 2021 Sydney Cup scorer Selino, will continue to breed elsewhere and Windsor Clive International is advertising the 388-acre premises as ideal for numerous equine practitioners.
On limestone land and with three different stable yard complexes, it has a main seven-bedroom house and five cottages.
Budgett, who has built up his business since the mid-80s, said: "The time has come to move on but we will continue trading as Kirtlington Stud with our own horses.
"It would be nice to find a buyer to continue with the success that we have had, but I accept that the property has much to offer for so many different uses."
George Windsor Clive of Windsor Clive International added: "The flexibility of Soulcombe is remarkable – breeding, competing or polo, it covers the whole spectrum."
