The 2,000 Guineas and Dewhurst Stakes winner Chaldean has his first foals on the ground, Juddmonte announced on Friday.

Three new arrivals, all colts, were highlighted by the farm's social media team in a series of photos on their accounts.

In France, Paris Peacock gave birth to her first foal at Haras du Cadran having been purchased by the operation for €300,000 at Arqana's December Breeding Stock Sale on a February cover to the son of Frankel.

Both of the six-year-old's black-type successes came at Gowran Park in 2022, where she won the Group 3 Denny Cordell Lavarack and Lanwades Stud Stakes and the Listed Hurry Harriet Stakes when trained by Jessica Harrington.

A half-sister to Group 3 Killavullan Stakes winner Craftsman, who was also a transatlantic black-type winner, Paris Peacock was transferred to the barn of Thomas Proctor for her four-year-old season.

Another of the Chaldean colts has been born to a first-time mother; the Group 3 Park Express Stakes runner-up Redressed who is by Le Havre and out of Atone, an Oasis Dream full-sister to the multiple Group 1 winner Midday.

Bred by Juddmonte, Redressed was trained by Ger Lyons to win a mile maiden at Navan on her second start at two and to finish second in Insinuendo in the Curragh contest on her first run at three.

She was bought by Laundry Cottage Stud from the Juddmonte draft for 360,000gns at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale.

Via Lazio, a Medicean half-sister to the Japanese champion two-year-old colt, triple Group 1 winner and rising young sire Admire Mars, is the dam of the third Chaldean foal and she too was sold at Tattersalls only a few weeks ago.

The unraced half-sister to two further Listed winners made 40,000gns to Felley Priory Stud, sold by Fittocks Stud. She is the dam of two winners from four runners, with her best so far Strutting, a four-year-old daughter of Chaldean's sire Frankel. A 425,000gns Book 2 purchase by BBA Ireland from the Cumanis' farm, she was fourth last season in a pair of Listed contests for John and Thady Gosden before being switched Stateside. Strutting was most recently sixth in the Grade 1 American Oaks at Santa Anita over Christmas.

Successful in four of his five starts as a juvenile, Chaldean covered 173 mares in his first season at Juddmonte's Banstead Manor where he stood for a fee of £25,000 last season.

In addition to his Group 1 successes the chestnut, bred by Whitsbury Manor Stud, was placed at the highest level when runner-up to Paddington in the St James's Palace Stakes. Trained by Andrew Balding, the half-brother to Group 2 winner and young sire Alkumait and Listed winner and Group 1-placed Get Ahead by Showcasing was also successful in the Group 2 Champagne Stakes and the 3 Acomb Stakes.

Chaldean will stand his second season at an unchanged fee of £25,000.
