Invincible Army to start at €10,000 as Yeomanstown Stud announces 2020 fees
Leading light Dark Angel is unchanged for next year
Invincible Army will be introduced at €10,000 as part of a five-strong roster at Yeomanstown Stud in County Kildare.
The son of Invincible Spirit was retired after a fine four-year-old season for James Tate and Saeed Manana, taking the Cammidge Trophy, Duke of York Stakes and Chipchase Stakes.
Already a winner of several other Group races, he was third in the Flying Five and fourth in the Prix de l'Abbaye on his final start.
Invincible Army is out of the Falmouth winner Rajeem, from the family of this year’s Fred Darling Stakes winner Dandhu.
The stud's flag-bearer Dark Angel, whose standouts on the racecourse in 2019 included the Nunthorpe hero Battaash, remains at €85,000, the same fee he has commanded for the past two seasons.
The 14-year-old’s nine stakes winners in 2019 also included Dick Poole scorer Dark Lady and Listed Carnarvon Stakes winner Khaadem.
Standing alongside his sire is Gutaifan, who has been trimmed to €6,000 with his first crop of runners on the track this year.
Completing the roster is Camacho at €10,000, and El Kabeir, whose first foals hit the market over the next few weeks, at €8,000.
"We’re pleased to announce the 2020 Yeomanstown Stud fees and are very excited to be adding Invincible Army to the roster," said the farm’s David O’Callaghan.
"Dark Angel has had another stellar year on the track led by Battaash, the fastest horse in the world. We’re looking forward to seeing the first crop foals of El Kabeir hit the market at the upcoming European breeding stock sales."
