Ruler Of The World off the mark with very first runner
The World Is Your wins in Rome
Ruler Of The World became the latest first-season sire to get off the mark when his his very first runner, The World Is Your, took out the Premio Moltrasio on debut in Rome on Saturday.
Trained by Nicolo Simondi, The World Is Your was bred by Allevamento Nuova Sbarra out of the Listed-winning Alzao mare Contemporary. He is a half-brother to the Italian Group 3 winner Ottone and to three other winners including the Listed-placed Force Of Ransom.
The World Is Your went through the ring at the SGA September Selected Yearling Sale in 2017 where he was snapped up for €22,000 by Incolinx.
Ruler Of The World made a winning debut in the April of his three-year-old season for Aidan O'Brien before using his victory in the Group 3 Chester Vase as a springboard to success in the 2013 Derby.
He also finished third in the Champion Stakes behind Farhh and was kept in training at four where he got the better of top-class performer Flintshire to win the Group 2 Prix Foy.
The eight-year-old son of Galileo began his career at Coolmore's Irish base in County Tipperary in 2015 and is standing 2018 at a fee of €8,000.
