Three Chimneys' top sire Gun Runner will stand for $250,000 in 2025, the farm announced on Friday.

The 11-year-old son of Candy Ride ranks second on this year's BloodHorse general leading sires list with more than $15.8 million in Northern Hemisphere progeny earnings, as of Oct. 25. He has been represented so far this year by four Grade 1 winners that include Sierra Leone, Vahva, Society, and Gun Pilot, all of whom have been pre-entered in the upcoming Breeders' Cup.

He is also the sire of two-year-old filly Sea Runner, who is pre-entered in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf.

To date, Gun Runner has sired 13 millionaires and ten Grade 1 winners. In 2024, at the sales he had ten yearlings sell for $1 million or more, highlighted by a $2.2 million colt out of Princesa Carolina (Tapit) that sold during the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, and a $1.9 million colt out of Secret Sigh (Tapit) that sold during Fasig-Tipton's Saratoga Sale.

"Gun Runner is continuing to prove our dreams can become a reality, and Three Chimneys and our partners continue to breed our best mares to him, which we believe will further his influence on the breed," said Three Chimneys chairman Gonçalo Torrealba. "We are excited to also bring home one of his promising Grade 1-winning sons in Gun Pilot, who was bred and raised here at Three Chimneys."

Three Chimneys' homebred Gun Pilot, winner of this year's $1 million Churchill Downs Stakes and the earner of more than $1.1 million, will join the farm's 2025 roster. His stud fee will be announced after his expected start in the Breeders' Cup Sprint, which will be his final race.

Into Mischief 's son Newgate, who won this year's Santa Anita Handicap, will also be a new stallion roster member. His fee will be set following his start in the Breeders' Cup Classic.

Freshman sire and Grade 1 winner Volatile, who is the sire of 15 winners through to October 24 including two Grade 1 performers, will stand for $12,500.

"Volatile is a great value opportunity with a lot of upside to breeders this year," said Three Chimneys board member and adviser Doug Cauthen. "He already has two legitimate Grade 1 horses that will be pointing for important races next year, and he has plenty of winners. I believe his runners are showing that they are like him, quick enough at two, but they will be even better as they mature as three-year-olds."

Sky Mesa will stand for $10,000, while Funtastic, who is the sire of recent California Crown Eddie D Stakes winner First Peace ($778,520), will stand for $5,000.
