Former Tally-Ho stallions reunited in Italy for Renew Italian Breeding
The 2025 fees have been set at €6,000 for Inns Of Court and Kessaar, the former Tally-Ho sires who have been reunited in Italy under the Renew Italian Breeding banner.
Inns Of Court will commence his Italian stint in the spring, while Kessaar is about to embark on his second season in the country but his first at a new location.
The stallions will stand in 2025 at Razza Dell'Orso in Perugia (Inns Of Court) and Alessandro Antonini's farm in Tivoli (Kessaar).
Renew Italian Breeding is administered by Mattia Cadrobbi and in the last five years has negotiated the acquisition of Kessaar himself, in addition to El Kabeir, Morpheus, Magician, Ruler Of The World and Requinto for Italian studs, with Marco Bozzi and Guido Berardelli responsible for commercial management.
Kessaar's top runners have been in Italy.
From three crops of racing age, Group 2 Mill Reef and Group 3 Sirenia Stakes winner Kessaar has produced 16 winners in Italy headed by this year's Group 3 Premio Parioli (Italian 2,000 Guineas) victor Melfi, who is the best performer sired by the son of Kodiac.
He is also the sire of Bridge Ashi Kun, successful in the Listed Premio Giuseppe Montel at the San Siro in July, and placed in two juvenile Group contests this year.
Bred by Tally-Ho Stud, Kessaar won three of his eight starts for John Gosden and was retired to stand at his birthplace at the conclusion of his juvenile career. Out of the Raven's Pass mare Querulous, Kessaar stood at Antonini's farm this year.
Inns Of Court has two crops of racing age, with his juveniles of 2024 including Group 3 Prestige Stakes winner Anshoda, The Strikin Viking, who was runner-up in both the Railway and Richmond Stakes, and Mighty Eriu, second in the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes.
From his first crop, the son of Invincible Spirit sired Listed Blenheim Stakes winner Megarry and Ziggy's Dream, successful in the Listed Prix Nogara and third in the Group 3 Oak Tree Stakes.
Trained by Andre Fabre for Godolphin, Inns Of Court was a Group 2 winner in the Prix du Gros-Chene and was twice runner-up at the highest level. The first of those came as a three-year-old behind Al Wukair in the Prix Jacques le Marois, and the following season he was beaten a short head by One Master in the Prix de la Foret.
