The first reported foal by Horse of the Year and dual Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile winner Cody's Wish was born on January 6 at Ramiro Salazar's Phoenix Farm and Racing in Georgetown, Kentucky.

Cody's Wish is Curlin's only five-time Grade 1-winning son and is out of the Grade 1-winning Tapit mare Dance Card.

Trained by Bill Mott, the seven-year-old won more than $3.1 million and retired with a record of 11-1-4 from 16 starts. His victories included the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile in 2022 and 2023, the Forego Stakes, Churchill Downs Stakes and Metropolitan Handicap.

Owned by Frederick & May Construction, the colt is out of the multiple Grade 2 winner Hotshot Anna, who was purchased by her owner at Keeneland's November Sale in 2022 for $400,000.
