First reported foal for Horse of the Year and dual Breeders' Cup winner Cody's Wish
The first reported foal by Horse of the Year and dual Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile winner Cody's Wish was born on January 6 at Ramiro Salazar's Phoenix Farm and Racing in Georgetown, Kentucky.
Cody's Wish is Curlin's only five-time Grade 1-winning son and is out of the Grade 1-winning Tapit mare Dance Card.
Trained by Bill Mott, the seven-year-old won more than $3.1 million and retired with a record of 11-1-4 from 16 starts. His victories included the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile in 2022 and 2023, the Forego Stakes, Churchill Downs Stakes and Metropolitan Handicap.
Owned by Frederick & May Construction, the colt is out of the multiple Grade 2 winner Hotshot Anna, who was purchased by her owner at Keeneland's November Sale in 2022 for $400,000.
