Who else, but Galileo? Coolmore's living legend will seal his ninth sire championship in Britain and Ireland this year, with progeny earnings more than £8 million in advance of his closest pursuer Dark Angel – who is something of a phenomenon in his own right.
Galileo supplied 12 individual top-level winners worldwide in 2017, including the dual Classic scorers Capri, Churchill and Winter. His outstanding older progeny Decorated Knight, Highland Reel and Ulysses also notched multiple successes in some of Europe's most prestigious middle-distance contests.
