'If I have to park eight rows back, then I know we are in for a busy day'

The day dawns, or rather lazily peeps, over the horizon long after I've awoken from a fitful sleep and spent the early hours indulging in a little light reading. Nothing like catching up on the latest antics of a depraved serial killer, while around you deathly silence hangs heavily in the dark, to whet the appetite for a stint of sales reporting.
Truth is, I look forward to working at the sales, whether it's a store sale, a breeze-up or anything in between. This particular sale is one I've missed for the last two years as Tattersalls Ireland was forced to relocate the September Yearling Sale to Newmarket.
