'I have no doubt that he will prove extremely popular' - Henry Longfellow joins Coolmore Stud roster in 2025
National Stakes winner Henry Longfellow is to retire to Coolmore Stud to take up stallion duties for 2025.
Impeccably bred as a son of Dubawi out of seven-time Group 1 star Minding, his fee will be announced in due course.
Henry Longfellow was three-for-three in his juvenile campaign, culminating in a five-length win in the Curragh Group 1. He would deliver his best performance at three in the St James’s Palace Stakes, going down by a neck to Rosallion, and was later third in the Prix du Moulin behind Tribalist and Charyn.
“He went unbeaten in three starts at two, including the Group 1 National Stakes, just like his sire Dubawi, who is becoming a very significant sire of sires,” said Coolmore’s director of sales David O'Loughlin.
"He again showed top-class form at three over a mile when beaten just a neck by Rosallion in the St James’s Palace Stakes. He’s arguably the best-looking son of Dubawi to go to stud and he’s out of one of the best Galileo racemares ever.
"I have no doubt that he will prove extremely popular with breeders."
