High quality broodmares and foals on offer at Arqana's NH Breeding Stock Sale
122 broodmares and fillies out of training will be sold alongside 82 foals
The catalogue for Arqana's Autumn National Hunt Breeding Stock Sale is now out, with 206 lots, including 122 broodmares and fillies and 82 National Hunt-bred foals, set to go through the ring.
Taking place on November 17 - following on from the Autumn Sale - two stallions will also be offered, Kitkou (Lot 658), a son of Martaline out of the Grade 1-winning hurdler Kotkia and a brother to Grade 1 Prix Ferdinand Dufaure scorer Kotkikova, from Haras d’Enki, and the Group-placed Desinvolteh (659), who will be offered by Haras du Saz.
Broodmares and fillies are presented in foal to stallions such as Buck's Boum, Doctor Dino, Kapgarde, Masked Marvel and No Risk At All, as well as young sires For Fun, Goliath Du Berlais, Headman, Moises Has and Telecaster.
Among the Graded- or Listed-winning or -performing fillies and mares are Haras des Cordelles' Utopia Jem (753), dam of Grade 1 winner Prix Cambacérès winner Theleme and offered in foal to Doctor Dino, Haras de Saint Voir's Gradee (712), a hurdles winner and Listed-placed half-sister to Group winner Tout Rouge who is in foal to No Risk At All, and Fishery Lane Hurdle scorer Missy Tata (766), who is carrying to Zarak and will be offered by Haras du Lieu des Champs.
Several sisters or half-sisters to Group/Graded winners also figure in the catalogue, including Srheliga (661), Écurie Pégase's half-sister to Srelighonn who is carrying her first foal by Great Pretender, Raffles Sacre (750), Haras du Lieu des Champs' sister to the Grade 1-placed and Prix Questarabad scorer Raffles Face, and Belladame (771), Élevage Corveller's sister to Djakadam who is offered in foal to Beaumec De Houelle.
Among the 82-strong contingent of foals on offer are Écurie Pégase's Doctor Dino half-brother to Srelighonn (660), Élevage Pierji's No Risk At All half-brother to triple Group winner Ambroise (758), and Haras des Mesnil's Beaumec de Houelle half-sister to Paul's Saga (843).
The sale has produced numerous Group or Graded winners, including this year's brilliant Champion Hurdle heroine Honeysuckle and Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle winner Vanillier, while classy performers from broodmares purchased at the auction include Roncal, Coko Beach and Tea Clipper.
