Mgheera: set to feature at the Tattersalls Online September Sale

Listed-winning and Group 2-placed sprinter Mgheera features among 171 entries for the Tattersalls Online September Sale, which takes place next week.

The event, which will open for bidding on Wednesday and will begin to close from 11am on Thursday, includes 118 horses in and out of training, 23 broodmares, 19 yearlings, six foals, four stores and a breeding right to Phoenix Of Spain.

Heading the catalogue is Mgheera, who is due to line up in the Group 3 Qatar Prix du Petit Couvert at Longchamp on Sunday and already has bold black type to her name. That came with success in the Prix Hampton at Chantilly in June, while the daughter of Zoustar was second in the Group 2 Prix du Gros-Chene the time before that.

Her most recent start came when finishing third to subsequent Nunthorpe winner Bradsell in the Listed Prix du Cercle - Prix Hipodromo de la Gavea at Deauville in August. Trained by Manon Scandella-Lacaille, the filly has risen up through the ranks from handicap company to amass prize-money of more than £110,000.

Bansha House Stables presents a draft of seven led by last weekend's Navan winner Actin Like A Diva. The Kuroshio two-year-old took her form to new heights on her third start, while she is out of a sister to Hong Kong Listed winner Montecchio and from the great Ballymacoll family of Islington.

A breeding right to Phoenix Of Spain is another highlight. The Irish National Stud's Irish 2,000 Guineas hero is the sire of Haatem, winner of the Group 2 Vintage Stakes at two and Group 3 Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot this season. He also placed in the English and Irish 2,000 Guineas.

The breeding stock entries include Whitsbury Manor Stud's black-type mare Biri's Angel, who is in foal to the operation's leading first-season sire Sergei Prokofiev.

Alne Park Stud’s draft includes Listed-placed Roseisaroseisarose, a half-sister to the smart Monbeg Rose who is offered in foal to Grade 1-winning sire Ocovango.

Sires with yearlings catalogued include Too Darn Hot, Ardad, Havana Gold, Lope Y Fernandez, Nathaniel, Oasis Dream, Sergei Prokofiev, Starman and Supremacy.

There are six foals on offer, by sires including Capri, Magna Grecia, Showcasing and Vadamos, as well as stores by Cityscape, Dartmouth, My Dream Boat and Telescope.
