Group winners among the first 40-strong contingent in Arqana Arc Sale catalogue
Prix Psyché winner Penja and French 2,000 Guineas second Colosseo are offered
The catalogue for Arqana's Arc Sale, held on the eve of the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, has been released, featuring the first 40 lots that will be available, including 31 horses who have already won black type.
Held at Saint-Cloud racecourse on the Saturday evening before the Arc, and so this year on October 2, the sale's catalogue is available online while the printed version is available on the day of the sale.
Among the standout lots on offer are Jean-Claude Rouget's Prix Psyché winner and Prix de la Nonette second Penja (Lot 11), a daughter of Camelot who holds an entry in the Prix de l'Opéra, Prix du Prince d’Orange scorer Saiydabad (32), the Aga Khan's four-time winning son of Blame, and Poule d’Essai des Poulains runner-up Colosseo (38), who is sold with an entry in the Prix de la Foret.
Also included in the catalogue are Freddy Head's Prix la Force winner and Prix Eugène Adam third Adhamo (4), a four-time winning son of Intello for owner-breeders Alain and Gérard Wertheimer, the Botti-consigned Prix Daphnis victor Bellharbour Music (37), and Reine D'Amour (28), Panorama Bloodstock's dual German Group 3 winner.
