Group 1 winner Feed The Flame recruited to Haras de la Hetraie's ranks for 2025
Last year's Grand Prix de Paris winner Feed The Flame will take up stud duties at Haras de la Hetraie next year.
Bred by Ecurie des Monceaux, Lordship Stud and Clear Light Sas out of the Monteju mare Knyazhna, the son of Kingman was unraced at two but won his first two starts before placing fourth to Ace Impact in the Prix du Jockey Club. He backed up that effort in the Grand Prix de Paris when defeating Irish Derby second Adelaide River and Oaks heroine Soul Sister with a pulsating turn of foot.
He was also second to Deutsches Derby hero Fantastic Moon in the Group 2 Prix Niel later this year, while this term he was a half-length third in the Prix Ganay, third in the Coronation Cup and second in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud.
The four-year-old was a €270,000 purchase by Gerard Larrieu from Monceaux at the Arqana August Yearling Sale in 2021. His unraced dam is a half-sister to the Group 2-placed Migwar and out of Katyusha, a Kingmambo sister to St Leger winner and Derby second Rule Of Law, also a winner of the Group 2 Great Voltigeur Stakes.
Feed The Flame is a half-brother to multiple Group/Graded scorer Sacred Life, by Siyouni, and Khagan, a son of Le Havre who was third in the Group 2 Prix Hocquart.
He will stand for an opening fee of €4,500.
