Group 1 winner Al Wukair on the move to Yeguada La Serreta in Spain
Group 1 winner Al Wukair is on the move from Al Shaqab's Haras de Bouquetot in Normandy to Yeguada La Serreta in Segovia, Spain.
The son of Dream Ahead was bred by Ballylinch Stud and sold to Al Shaqab for 200,000gns at Tattersalls Book 1 in 2015. He won both starts at two for Andre Fabre, including the Listed Prix Isonomy, before capturing the Group 3 Prix Djebel on his seasonal reappearance at three.
Having finished a fine third to Churchill in the 2,000 Guineas, Al Wukair went on to land Group 1 spoils of his own in the Prix Jean Prat.
He retired to Haras de Bouquetot in 2018 for an opening fee of €8,000, a fee he retained the following year and in 2022.
His best progeny include Grade 3 Waya Stakes scorer La Mehana and Group 3 Hamburger Stutenpreis winner Princess Badee, as well as Listed winner Khamma.
