Group 1 siblings among bumper catalogue for October Yearlings Book 2
Sale follows an exciting week of Book 1 action
A Cracksman half-brother to European champion older horse Al Kazeem and a Gleneagles sibling of French Guineas winner Precieuse are among the highlights of the newly announced catalogue for Books 2, 3 and 4 of the 2021 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
Book 2 features 808 yearlings and will take place between October 11 and 13, while Book 3 has 612 lots catalogued and Book 4 has a further 98 yearlings selling across the following three days.
This year’s October Book 2 stars have included Addeybb, Ebro River, Lady Bowthorpe, State Of Rest, Subjectivist and Zaaki, who have have claimed top-level triumphs around the globe.
The 2021 catalogue features siblings to 167 Group and Listed winners, including a Kingman half-brother to Middle Park winner Charming Thought, and direct relatives of Accidental Agent, Margot Did, River Boyne, Librisa Breeze and La Pelosa.
Sandrine and Asymmetric, both Group 2 juvenile winners in Britain this season, have half-brothers catalogued by Roaring Lion and Gleneagles respectively, as does this year’s dual Group 1 runner-up Dragon Symbol, whose half-brother is by Adaay.
In addition there are 113 sons and daughters of Group and Listed winning mares catalogued, including a Churchill colt out of the champion racemare Islington, a Pivotal colt out of Allegretto and daughters of Group or Grade 1 winners Dynaforce and Voleuse De Coeurs by Cracksman and National Defense respectively
Tally-Ho Stud’s Kodiac leads the way numerically with 42 yearlings catalogued and Whitsbury Manor Stud’s Showcasing follows closely on his heels with 38 while Australia, Dark Angel, Lope De Vega and Zoffany are heavily represented.
