Grech & Parkin dispersal among the headline acts for Goffs UK Spring Sale
Million In Mind and Brittas House Stud also consigning choice lots
Dispersals from Grech & Parkin, Brittas House Stud and the Million In Mind Partnership head up the 541 lots catalogued in the Goffs UK Spring HIT/P2P Sale at Doncaster on May 22 and 23.
The key individuals among the 29 horses being offered without reserve after Mike Grech and Stuart Parkin decided to wind up their joint ownership operation include Mr Whipped (lot 722), who beat the Stayers' Hurdle winner Paisley Park as a novice and fellow graded winners Claimantakinforgan (723), Constantine Bay (713) and River Wylde (721).
The sale consists of not only horses in training but a considerable selection of point-to-point drafts from leading consignors.
Anthony Bromley and David Minton's Million In Mind traditionally put their horses up for auction after a season in syndication and all of their six offerings have winning form to show for. They include Townshend (427), who wrapped up his season with a valuable win at Huntingdon and Dr Sanderson (432), who was three-from-five for Paul Nicholls.
The dispersal from Brittas House follows the death of renowned breeder Peter Magnier in January and numbers seven unraced or lightly-campaigned youngsters.
There are plenty of recognisable horses included, with future jumping prospects from the likes of Shadwell and Godolphin. Among the names to note are the Peter Marsh Chase winner Wakanda (337), once-promising bumper performer and recent hunter chase scorer Carter McKay (359), Harry Whittington's useful chaser Bigmartre (752) and Value At Risk (692), who had Listed form over fences for Dan Skelton.
Goffs UK managing director Tony Williams said: "2019 is shaping as a vintage year for this sale with some outstanding horses already catalogued and more high-end pointers and form horses to be supplemented in the coming two-weeks.
"The catalogue has real strength and depth and the Brittas House Stud, Grech & Parkin and Million In Mind Dispersals in particular are sure to attract a large buying bench of purchasers from around the world.
"The results this sale has achieved in the last few years, namely a 91 per cent clearance rate and a £280,000 top price in 2018, have meant we have been very well supported once again and the sale’s popularity has led to us producing its largest catalogue in over a decade.

"We are very much looking forward to a big three days at Doncaster for the 2019 Spring Sale which will commence with the Store Sale on May 21 with a quality catalogue of 264 three-year-olds and the Spring HIT/P2P Sale which will be held the two days following on May 22-23."
The sale will commence at 10am on both days and selected supplementary point-to-point and form horse nominations will be taken up to the time of the sale.
