Grand National entry Ballyoptic among entries for Goffs Online March Sale
The 11-year-old is a dual Grade 2 winner over fences
Randox Grand National entry Ballyoptic, a Grade 1 winner over hurdles and dual Grade 2 scorer over fences, is set to appear among the entries for Goffs' Online March Sale.
The Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained 11-year-old, who is guaranteed a start in the marathon Aintree showpiece as the seventh name in the order of entry, has won nine of his 31 starts under rules including the Grade 1 Sefton Novices' Hurdle at Aintree and the Charlie Hall Chase and Towton Novices' Chase at Wetherby
His most recent success came when landing the Listed Swinley Chase at Ascot by eight and a half lengths in February 2020.
Goffs can claim to have sold 35 National winners including multiple heroes Red Rum and Tiger Roll. Its recent online offerings have seen debut bumper winner Hollymount sell to Bective Stud for £300,000 and dual Grade 1-winning chaser La Bague Au Roi realise £175,000 when selling to Kevin Doyle and Peter Nolan.
The catalogue for the Goffs Online March Sale will be published online this Friday, while registrations to bid online will open on Wednesday and close the following Monday.
