Grade 1 winner Battleoverdoyen headlines ThoroughBid October Sale catalogue
Grade 1-winning hurdler and chaser Battleoverdoyen features among 55 lots for ThoroughBid's October Sale next Thursday.
Last seen winning over fences at the Galway Festival in August, the son of Doyen has been a prolific campaigner for Gordon Elliott, previous owners Gigginstown and present connections Pioneer Racing.
Elliott has consigned 21 horses at the sale, including three-time hurdles winner Shesadream, recent winners Leading Lion, Wudya and Nottodaybobo, as well as I A Connect, a runner at the Cheltenham Festival in 2022 and multiple winner over fences and hurdles.
The Jim Goldie-trained Baez, prolific over staying trips on the Flat last season, is entered having last been seen in the Chester Plate, while last-time-out all-weather winner Renoir is another notable Flat horse in training.
The mixed catalogue also features broodmares, notably nine-year-old Authorized mare Amourice, who is being sold in-foal to Jack Hobbs.
James Richardson, CEO of ThoroughBid, said: "Our offer of Risk-Free Consignment continues to appeal, and we’re delighted to have assembled a catalogue of well over 50 lots.
"Battleoverdoyen is a horse everyone will be familiar with. Having won last time out at the Galway Festival, he still looks to have something in the tank and should be a nice Saturday horse for new connections.
"There’s a host of horses-in-training across the jumps and Flat available as well as a handful of nice broodmares, so hopefully something for everyone."
The full catalogue can be found here.
