Goffs UK adds mixed December Sale to Doncaster auction calendar
Goffs UK has made another new addition to its sales calendar with the Doncaster auction house due to stage the December Sale on Friday December 7, with distinct sections for horses in training, Flat mares and foals.
The one-day auction takes the number of Goffs UK horses in training sales across the calendar year to eight, and also provides British breeders with a new outlet for Flat-bred foals.

Goffs UK managing director Tony Williams said: "We place great importance on our horses in training and point-to-point sales, and the December Sale will provide another viable outlet for trainers following the early season headline National Hunt meetings, such as the Ladbrokes Winter Carnival at Newbury.
"The sale also reacts to feedback from a number of breeders last year requesting that we offer a Flat foal session given the increasing size of the foal crop and the pressure for places at the traditional outlets for the category.
"The date will allow breeders to prep foals for this sale alongside drafts for the major foal sales and offer their horses before Christmas.”
The announcement follows hot on the heels of the news that Goffs UK will host the inaugural Goodwood Sale at Glorious Goodwood on Qatar Sussex Stakes Day, Wednesday August 1. The boutique sale will offer high-end horses in training and breeding opportunities.
