The Gigginstown House Stud dispersal, which has become an annual attraction at the Goffs UK September Horses In Training Sale, provides this year's sale with its star names once more.

Grade 1 winners including Battleoverdoyen, Notebook and Felix Desjy head the 18 horses who currently carry Michael O'Leary's maroon and white silks and scheduled to come under the hammer at Doncaster on Wednesday, September 7.

Battleoverdoyen (lot 99), successful at Grade 1 level over hurdles and fences, was most recently seen finishing fifth behind Hewick in the Galway Plate last month and the nine-year-old son of the recently retired Doyen is one of the standout names in both the Gigginstown draft and the 142 lots currently catalogued for the one-day sale.

He is joined in the catalogue by his Gordon Elliott-trained stablemate Felix Desjy (47), a nine-year-old Maresca Sorrento gelding who won the Grade 1 Top Novices' Hurdle at Aintree in 2019. His most recent win came in the Grade 2 Killashee Handicap Hurdle at last season's Punchestown festival.

Ten-year-old Arcadio gelding Hardline (96) won Limerick's Grade 1 Greenmount Novice Chase for Elliott and Gigginstown.

From the yard of Gold Cup and Champion Hurdle-winning trainer Henry de Bromhead comes Notebook (49). Another nine-year-old, this time by leading German sire Samum, Notebook won a pair of Grade 1 novice chases at Leopardstown during the 2019-2020 season.

The 18 Gigginstown House Stud horses will be offered without reserve.

Gleadhill House Stud consigns a partial reduction of youngstock bred by the late Trevor Hemmings. The dozen include eight four-year-olds who are broken and riding along with a quartet of untried three-year-olds.

Among the four-year-olds is an unnamed Court Cave three-parts sister to the Listed mares' novice hurdle winner Mischievous Milly (63), while the three-year-olds include a Scorpion half-brother (113) to the Grade 3 Fixed Brush Handicap Hurdle winner Stoney Mountain.

At a different end to the spectrum, Cobhall Court Stud offers the five-year-old mare Mascara Princess (122) on behalf of DahlBury. The Charm Spirit half-sister to Willie Mullins' Grade 2 Lonsdale Cup winner and Melbourne Cup runner-up Max Dynamite is in foal to DahlBury sire Walzertakt, who stood his first season at Chapel Stud this year.

Tim Kent, managing director of Goffs UK, said: “The Gigginstown dispersal has become a true highlight of the autumn sales calendar. It’s an annual highlight of the September Horses In Training Sale as it attracts buyers from throughout Europe to Doncaster and it’s great to have another sizable draft to offer in 2022.

"Once again, the sale will see Gleadhill House Stud well represented, this time with a draft of unraced National Hunt horses, and there are some smart younger horses with form to be offered as well, so there is something for everyone in the sale.”

Supplementary entries for the sale will be taken up until the time of the sale and the catalogue can be viewed here.
