Frankel half-sister to Classic hero Awtaad set for Dundalk debut on Friday
Also, Godolphin run a Dubawi half-brother to Group 1 winner Ultra at Newmarket
The wraps come off Shadwell's half-sister to Irish 2,000 Guineas hero Awtaad at Dundalk amid a host of regally bred youngsters set to debut in the UK and Ireland on Friday.
Awtaad, a son of Cape Cross who has had six individual winners from his first crop, had his finest moment at the Curragh in 2016, but was also third to Galileo Gold in the St James's Palace Stakes and struck in the Group 2 Boomerang Stakes on his penultimate start.
The Kevin Prendergast-trained Mehnah, who contests the 7f fillies' maiden (5.15), is by dual world champion Frankel, and out of the stakes-placed Shamardal mare Asheerah, making her not only a relation to Awtaad but also the Listed-placed Aneen and Group 3-runner up Alghabrah.
Asheerah has since produced a Dubawi filly, who sadly died, while she visited Sea The Stars this season.
At Newmarket, Godolphin will saddle a Dubawi half-brother to Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere winner and Darley stallion Ultra in the opening 7f maiden contest (1.15).
Quintillus is the 14th foal from the Nashwan mare Epitome, who has also produced Group 3 scorer Synopsis plus the stakes-placed Epic Simile, dam of two winners including the useful Figure Of Speech.
There is an equally blue-blooded juvenile set to debut at Newcastle (4.50) in Brunnera, a Juddmonte-owned daughter of Dubawi out of the Group 1-winning Romantica.
Romantica was the winner of four races, including the Prix de la Nonette and Prix Jean Romanet when trained by Andre Fabre, before switching to the US in 2014.
The daughter of Galileo boasts a typically fine Juddmonte pedigree, being out of Banks Hill, a top-level winning daughter of Danehill and the mighty blue hen Hasili.
Brunnera is the first foal out of Romantica, who has returned to Dubawi twice since and produced a colt and filly. She was mated with Kingman this time.
