Frankel and Kingman among the top sires set to benefit from Juddmonte's mighty broodmare band
Newly crowned European champion sire Frankel and studmate Kingman will be among the 33 European stallions set to benefit from the might of Juddmonte's broodmare band.
Frankel, the sire of nine individual top-level winners last year and 26 Group or Grade 1 winners overall, is set to receive 25 black-type performers or producers.
These are headed by top-flight winners Emollient, the dam of Group 2 winner Raclette, Emulous, Juliet Foxtrot and Viadera; as well as Group 1 producers Bird Flown, the dam of Irish 2,000 Guineas hero Siskin, Nimble Thimble, dam of Fillies' Mile winner Quadrilateral, and Repose, whose Prix Ganay, Prince of Wales's Stakes and Cox Plate-winning son State Of Rest is new to Rathbarry Stud for 2023.
Group or Grade 2 winners set to visit the dual world champion include Rockfel Stakes winner Isabella Giles, Arizona’s full-sister Nay Lady Nay, Sapphire Stakes winner Soffia; and Starformer, the dam of stakes winner Flavius.
Other stakes producers who will be covered by the son of Galileo include Flare Of Firelight, the dam of Gimcrack and Champagne Stakes winner Threat, and Portodora, dam of Grade 2 winner and Grade 1-placed Set Piece.
Frankel, whose leading offspring last year included Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe heroine Alpinista, Dewhurst Stakes winner Chaldean, Prix de Diane and Nassau Stakes winner Nashwa, 1,000 Guineas victress Homeless Songs and Irish Derby scorer Westover, will stand for an increased fee of £275,000.
Kingman was the sire of four Group-winning two-year-olds in 2022, including Fillies' Mile winner Commissioning, the unbeaten Gimcrack Stakes scorer Noble Style and Tattersalls Stakes winner Nostrum, and he will receive notable home support as well.
Among the son of Invincible Spirit's book are Group 1 winner Passage Of Time, the dam of Time Test and Kingman's Group winner Tempus; Sprint Cup heroine African Rose, the dam of Group winner Fair Eva; Group 3 winner and Famous Name’s sister Big Break, dam of Listed winner Georgeville; and juvenile Group 3 winner Helleborine, the dam of Kingman's Coventry Stakes winner Calyx and Pocket Square.
Kingman will also cover top-flight winners Proviso and Romantica, as well as Scuffle, the dam of St Leger winner Logician, and dual Group producer Deliberate, the dam of Headman, by Kingman.
Bated Breath was responsible for the exciting Dick Poole Fillies' Stakes winner Juliet Sierra last season and the Group 3 winner's dam, Kilo Alpha, will return to the Dansili 16-year-old this covering season.
Other Juddmonte mares visiting Bated Breath in 2023 include Listed winner Pavlosk, the dam of Listed-winning two-year-old Zarinsk; the Group-placed Straight Thinking, dam of Listed winner Straight Answer; and the Group-placed Midweek, dam of the promising Halfway Line.
Expert Eye welcomed his first two-year-olds last season, with 25 individual winners to date, and his home dates will include Falmouth winner Timepiece and the Group producer Photographic, dam of Musidora Stakes winner Shutter Speed.
Banstead Manor Stud stalwart Oasis Dream, whose leading offspring in 2022 included Irish 2,000 Guineas hero Native Trail and Vintage Stakes winner Marbaan, will cover Listed winner Vesela, a Frankel half-sister to Showcasing, and Bonne Idee, a winning Frankel half-sister to the very promising Nostrum.
Juddmonte homebreds New Bay and Showcasing will also be supported, with Continental Drift, a daughter of Intercontinental and the dam of Grade 3 winner and Grade 1-placed Masen, booked in for New Bay, alongside Group 3 winners Dandhu and Gaining. Showcasing's book includes Group producer Lilyfire and dual Group 2 winner Lucky Kristale.
The brilliant Baaeed will be visited by Monsoon Moon, a winning Kingman half-sister to Logician, while Sacred Bridge, a Group-winning Bated Breath full-sister to Grade 1 winner Viadera, heads over to Ireland for her first mating with Dark Angel.
The newly crowned British and Irish champion sire Dubawi will receive plenty of quality as the brilliant Enable and dam Concentric will head over to Dalham Hall Stud, alongside Quadrilateral and Frankel's full-sister Chiasma.
Midday and her Listed-winning and Group 2-placed daughter Mori are due to be covered by Lope De Vega, while Expert Eye’s dam Exemplify is booked in for Mehmas.
Frankel’s Listed-winning half-sister Joyeuse is to be covered by No Nay Never, while Group 3 winner and maiden mare Agave will go to Sea The Stars. The Listed-winning maidens Elegant Verse, a daughter of Special Duty, and Noon Star, a daughter of Midday, will be visiting Siyouni.
