Star siblings among Tattersalls December Foal Sale entries
First-crop sires Cracksman, Harry Angel and the late Roaring Lion represented
A stellar catalogue for Tattersalls December Foal Sale next month has been unveiled, featuring siblings to this year's Fillies' Mile heroine Pretty Gorgeous, Mill Reef Stakes scorer Alkumait and Coventry winner Nando Parrado.
Among the 934 lots on offer is also a Dubawi half-brother to champion Irish two-year-old filly Skitter Scatter and a relative to the speedy The Lir Jet.
Foals by first-crop sires Cracksman, Expert Eye, Harry Angel and the late Roaring Lion are entered, as well as those by leading sires Frankel, Kingman, Invincible Spirit and Lope De Vega.
Richard Kent’s Mickley Stud tops the consignors with 32 foals on offer, while The Castlebridge Consignment has 29. Tweenshill Stud, which topped last year's sale with the Frankel colt out of St Leger winner Simple Verse, consign 23 foals.
Among the auction's graduates is this season's Sprint Cup scorer Dream Of Dreams, who will bid to follow up his maiden Group 1 success at Ascot on Saturday, and Nando Parrado.
Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony said: "The Tattersalls December Foal Sale is the premier fixture of its kind in Europe, consistently attracting the cream of the British and Irish foal crop and this year’s catalogue has the quality and diversity to appeal to pinhookers and owners from throughout the world.
"Graduates of the sale continue to fly the flag globally with Dream Of Dreams, Barney Roy and Matterhorn all successful at the highest level. The December Foal Sale has also been the source of many of this season’s most exciting juveniles with the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes winner Alkumait, the Group 2 Coventry Stakes winner Nando Parrado, the Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes winner Minzaal and the exciting Group 3 winning Japanese two-year-old Shock Action all graduates of the 2018 renewal."
