The first foals by Darley's unbeaten champion juvenile and Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Native Trail have arrived.

His first reported foal was born in France on January 22 at Elevage de Tourgeville, and the son of Bourbonesque was described as "a magnificent colt" by his breeders. The mare is a Kingman close relation to Group 1 winner Aqlaam, who shares his sire Oasis Dream with Native Trail.

Next up was the first reported daughter for Native Trail; a filly out of black-type producer Dealer's Choice for Tactful Finance Ltd, who arrived at Kiltinan Castle Stud a day later. By Exchange Rate, Dealer's Choice is from the family of No Nay Never and her only runner to date is Listed Premio Rumon winner and multiple Group-placed juvenile Baghed.

Treaty, a winning daughter of Dunkerque and a full-sister to the Listed-placed Tresorier produced a bay filly at Ecurie de Sud on January 25 and Fernando Laffon commented that the half-sister to two further stakes performers had foaled a "gorgeous, strong filly."

The most recent new arrival by Native Trail came at Woodford Stud where Amore Bello foaled a chestnut colt. By Bated Breath, she is a half-sister to Group/Grade 3 winners More Than Love and Match Maker. Brian O'Neill said  he was "a quality colt with a great hip."

Native Trail was well supported in his first season at Kildangan Stud last year, and had 150 mares reported to be in foal.

European champion two-year-old, Native Trail was unbeaten as a juvenile with victories in the Group 1 Dewhurst and National Stakes as well as the Group 2 Superlative Stakes. He struck in the Irish 2,000 Guineas and the Group 3 Craven Stakes at three, as well as placing second to stablemate Coroebus in the 2,000 Guineas and third to Vadeni in the Eclipse Stakes.

A 210,000gns purchase by Godolphin at the Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale, Native Trail was bred by Haras d'Haspel out of Needleleaf, an Observatory full-sister to Haydock Sprint Cup heroine African Rose and Group 3 Prix d'Aumale winner and Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac runner-up Helleborine, the dam of Coventry Stakes winner and young sire Calyx.

Now a six-year-old, Native Trail is available for €16,000 this year, having stood his debut season for €17,500.
