Exciting prospect The Waco Kid among Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale entries
Recent Tattersalls Stakes winner The Waco Kid features among a high-quality cast for the upcoming Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale.
The son of Mehmas (lot 1059) is one of the leading juveniles in Britain with an official rating of 109 and has won twice from six starts, as well as placing third in the Flying Scotsman Stakes and fourth in a red-hot Acomb Stakes to the unbeaten The Lion In Winter and subsequent Royal Lodge Stakes victor Wimbledon Hawkeye.
He is out of the unraced Galileo mare Catchingsnowflakes, a half-sister to 2,000 Guineas hero and leading first-season sire Kameko. The juvenile will be offered by The Castlebridge Consignment.
Dominant Cambridgeshire scorer Liberty Lane (753) is another notable entry alongside the Group 3-winning Galileo colt Klondike (727), the Group-placed Shamardal entire Cash (1042) and Juddmonte's Task Force (1068), a son of Frankel and 1,000 Guineas heroine Special Duty who was a stakes winner at two and second to Vandeek in the Middle Park Stakes.
Juddmonte's other entries include Group 3 winners Nostrum (1075) and Flight Leader (1083), as well as this year's Sandown Classic Trial second Macduff (1066), a son of Sea The Stars out of a Bated Breath half-sister to Kingman.
Coolmore's draft includes The Equator, a winning Galileo three-parts brother to 2024 Moyglare and Cheveley Park Stakes heroine Lake Victoria (674), last year's Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf second Mountain Bear (672) and Listed-winning Kingman colt Chemistry (675).
The Castlebridge Consignment will offer the largest draft with 178 horses in training, headed by Group 3 winner Epictetus (1063), while Baroda Stud, Barton Sales, Consign Ltd and Jamie Railton will offer 157, 103, 64 and 60 respectively. There is also a 51-lot draft from Godolphin, which includes Solario Stakes winner Aablan (1110).
Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony said: “Every year horses from the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale create headlines all over the world and since 2021 there have been an extraordinary 69 individual Group and Listed winners from the sale including four Group 1 winners.
"Both international and domestic buyers know that there is no other sale in the world quite like the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale and this year’s catalogue has all the ingredients to appeal to the usual diverse cross-section of buyers, both Flat and National Hunt."
