Grivetana, who had looked an exciting prospect on her racecourse debut in France, was knocked down for €180,000 to bloodstock agent Tom Malone at an Auctav flash online sale on Friday evening.
A No Risk At All three-year-old filly, Grivetana won her only start over hurdles at Cagnes-sur-Mer by 12 lengths and had been given glowing reports from trainer Yannick Fouin and breeder Gheorghe Codre.
Her grand-dam is Grivette, winner of the Grade 1 Prix Alan du Breil at Auteuil.
"She impressed me," said Malone, who told the company that Grivetana would be heading to the Paul Nicholls stable.
"She won very easily on her debut and showed [great] speed, which made us consider her more."
Auctav had three other horses to offer but they failed to find buyers. Three-year-old Icarat, a winner at Craon for Nick Littmoden and from the family of Charlie Hall and Aintree Bowl winner Nacarat, was unsold at €120,000.
Arnaud Angeliaume, Auctav's managing director, said: "We would like to thank the entourage of the four horses entrusted to us during this sale.
"We are excited for the connections of Grivetana, who see this filly go to one of the most recognised National Hunt trainers in Europe in Paul Nicholls. Auctav strives to offer quality horses in line with public demands. This will remain our requirement in 2022."
