A Walk In The Park full-brother to eight-time Grade 1 winner Douvan is among the standout lots destined for next month's Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale, for which 445 stores have been catalogued.

Douvan was in his infancy when his Saint Des Saints dam Star Face was acquired by Tunisian breeder Lotfi Kohli, but she returned to Europe for a date with Walk In The Park following the on-track exploits of her star son, who landed both the Supreme Novices' Hurdle and Arkle Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.

Her three-year-old gelding could get the Derby Sale off to a flyer as he is set to be offered as lot 27 by Church View Stables, who also bought back Star Face for €140,000 at the 2015 Tattersalls Ireland November Sale.

The sale-topper on that occasion was the Willie Mullins-trained Grade 1 hurdle winner Adriana Des Mottes, a daughter of Network who was signed for at €145,000 by Kilmoney Cottage Stud.

Her first foal, a son of Shantou, will come under the hammer as lot 98 and will be consigned by Loughmore Stables on behalf of Cue Card's breeder Rowland Crellin of Brook Farm near Chepstow.

Both mares have yearling colts by the same sires, suggesting their owners were impressed with their previous youngstock.

Among the other siblings to elite winners are Kieran Shields' Shirocco half-brother (4) to Gold Cup hero Lord Windermere, and Ballooley Townland Stables' Flemensfirth half-brother (53) to the popular dual Grade 1 hurdle winner The New One.

The sale takes place on June 26-27 and starts at 10.30am each day. Previous graduates of the sale include Mildmay Novices' Chase scorer Lostintranslation and Grade 1 mares hurdle winner Honeysuckle.
