Diverse cast assembled for the Goffs UK Doncaster Autumn Sale
Yearlings, horses-in-training and pointers will all be offered for sale
The catalogue for this month's Goffs UK Autumn Sale has been released, with yearlings, Graded-class horses-in-training and point-to-pointers all on offer.
Held in one session on Thursday, October 21, the sale's USP is that it the first outlet for point-to-pointers of the National Hunt season and will include a dedicated point-to-point session, for which supplementary entries will be taken up to the time of the sale.
The catalogue will also offer Goffs UK’s final yearling session of 2021, with 52 lots by sires including Acclamation, Bated Breath, Bungle Inthejungle, Camacho, Expert Eye, Harry Angel, Havana Grey, Highland Reel, Profitable, Sioux Nation and Washington DC.
Following on will be the horses-in-training section and among the highlights of the 141-strong section are Yeo Barton Bloodstock's broodmare Bonbonniere (Lot 59), a half-sister to Burrows Saint, Closutton Stables' Grade 3-placed hurdler Koshari (156) and N'Golo (158), winner of the Grade 3 For Auction Novice Hurdle and third to Ballyadam in the Grade 1 Royal Bond Novice Hurdle last winter.
Goffs UK managing director Tim Kent said: “Doncaster horses-in-training sales have long been consistent producers of top-level performers with some of the most recent including Grade 1-winning hurdler Silver Streak, a graduate of this sale, along with the likes of Vanillier plus point graduates Ahoy Senor, Adrimel and Royal Rendezvous."
He added: "The Autumn Sale will offer the first point-to-point outlet of the 2021-22 National Hunt season at what is a proven venue at the optimum time and we will actively chase point entries over the coming weekends and already have interest from potential purchasers who are ready to buy at the source of so much success.
“The sale will also offer buyers their final chance to secure a Donny yearling for 2021, with a session of commercial yearlings with a broad appeal.”
The sale will commence from 10am at the Goffs UK Sales complex in Doncaster.
