Darrell Tampin appointed general manager at Aislabie Stud
Darrell Tampin has been appointed general manager of Aislabie Stud having been stud manager for the last seven years.
The decision was made due to the ever-expanding broodmare band of stud owner Fawzi Nass and Sheikh Nasser Al Khalifa of Victorious Racing. Oliver St Lawrence will continue to oversee the racing and bloodstock elements of the business as usual.
Tampin has been in the bloodstock industry for 23 years, having worked in Australia, New Zealand and America. He was stud manager for Highbank Stud in Yorkshire and Scenic Lodge Stud in Australia, as well as assistant stud groom at Juddmonte and Cheveley Park Stud.
Tampin said: "I've really enjoyed my first seven years at Aislabie and am looking forward to the very exciting young broodmare band we have for both Fawzi Nass and HH Sheikh Nasser.
"I'd like to thank Fawzi Nass for giving me the opportunity and am very much looking forward to having the foals of champion sprinter-elect Bradsell here in 2026. Bradsell has spent time on the stud and myself and all the team are thrilled with his success over the last three years. Hopefully we can breed foals as talented and tough as him."
