Dam and half-brother to Al Riffa among star lots at the Goffs February Sale

The duo will be offered by Clonbonny Stud at the two-day sale next month

The catalogue for next month's Goffs February Sale is now out, with 487 lots comprising Flat and National Hunt weanlings, breeding stock, two-year-olds and horses in training all due to go under the hammer.

Taking place on February 8 and 9 from 10am on both days, sires under both codes with lots for sale include Acclamation, Blue Bresil, Blue Point, Crystal Ocean, Dandy Man, Dark Angel, Ghaiyyath, Invincible Spirit, Kodiac, Lope De Vega, Mehmas, New Bay, Night Of Thunder, Saxon Warrior, Sea The Stars, Sioux Nation, Starspangledbanner, Too Darn Hot and Walk In The Park.

Covering sires feature Acclamation, Ardad, Australia, Bated Breath, Blue Point, Churchill, Cotai Glory, Dandy Man, Kodi Bear, Magna Grecia, Showcasing, Sioux Nation, Sottass, Space Blues, Starman, Supremacy and Zoustar.

Among the weanling highlights are a Sea The Stars colt out of Group 3 UAE Oaks winner Polar River (Lot 71); a Maxios half-brother to Grade 2 Hurdle winner Jason The Militant (89); a Blue Point colt out of a half-sister to Group 2 winner Bocca Baciata (140); a Walk In The Park colt out of a full-sister to Grade 1 winner Felix Desjy (209); an Idaho half-brother to Grade 2 Galmoy Hurdle winner Royal Kahala (313); and a Galileo Chrome half-brother to last season's National Stakes winner Al Riffa.

Most notable among the broodmares is Love On My Mind, herself the dam of Al Riffa (479), while others include Diamond Dandy, a half-sister to the dam of Perfect Power (382); Promenada, a half-sister to Group 1 winner La Petite Coco (459) and It’s All For Luck, a full-sister to Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Jet Setting (474).

Lots from the two-year-old and horses in training section include an unnamed three-year-old Iffraaj filly out of Group 3 winner Mango Mischief and a half-sister to Group 2 scorer Mango Diva (48).
