Classic-winning sire Aclaim joins Batsford Stud as 2025 fees are released
Classic-winning sire Aclaim has joined St Leger hero Kew Gardens on the Batsford Stud roster for 2025, with the team also including established stallions Passing Glance and Swiss Spirit.
A Group 1 winner when landing the Prix de la Foret for Martyn Meade, Aclaim is now responsible for 2022 1,000 Guineas heroine Cachet. He stood at the National Stud upon his retirement in 2018 until 2022, and then resided at Manton Park for the following two seasons.
Also responsible for Listed winners Royal Aclaim and Purosangue among 11 individual black-type performers, he will stand for £3,000 in 2025.
Kew Gardens will also stand for £3,000, with 108 first-crop three-year-olds set to run for him next season.
A Listed winner at two who captured the Grand Prix de Paris and St Leger at three, he also defeated Stradivarius in the Long Distance Cup at four.
The son of Galileo stood his first four seasons at Coolmore's Castle Hyde Stud before relocating to Batsford.
The evergreen Passing Glance retains a fee of £3,000, with his Liverpool Hurdle-winning son Strong Leader having struck in the Grade 2 Long Distance Hurdle at Newbury on his reappearance last week.
Completing the roster is Swiss Spirit, who will stand at £1,000, down from £2,000 this year.
The son of Invincible Spirit is the sire of black-type winners Tees Spirit and One Night Stand.
