The Goffs UK Aintree Sale returns with a bang in 2022 as the dual Cheltenham Festival winner Put The Kettle On is set to go under the hammer next week.

Put The Kettle On (lot1), the first mare to win the Champion Chase when victorious last year for Henry De Bromhead and the One For Luck Racing Syndicate, heads an exciting list of horses already entered for the sale, which returns on Thursday, April 7 after a Covid 19-induced hiatus of two years.

An eight-year-old daughter of Stowaway, Put The Kettle On's nine career successes also include the Arkle Chase and the Grade 2 Shloer Chase at Cheltenham.

The remaining entries for the sale at this stage are all from the pointing sphere with all the leading handlers represented by exciting young recruits.

Townhill (3), who won a Loughrea four-year-old maiden for Sam Curling by 20 lengths on debut, is one of the last of the Presentings to come on the market and hails from the family of Grade 2 winners and Grade 1-placed half-siblings Royal Regatta and Three Musketeers.

He is joined in the catalogue by another winning son of the brilliant sire in Private Ryan (9) who made all to win a five-year-old maiden at Ballyragget for Sean Doyle. Private Ryan's dam Sea Jewel is a Flemensfirth half-sister to First Lieutenant by Presenting, whose Grade 1 successes included the Bowl at Aintree.

Ellmarie Holden sold Jonbon for a record price at a Goffs UK point-to-point sale and the Kilkenny woman consigns the impressive Lisronagh four-year-old maiden winner Act Of Authority (7) next week. He is a son of Authorized and out of Leah Claire, a Listed performer on the Flat and Grade 2-placed over hurdles.

Rob James has entered Monksgrange debut winner Classic Anthem (20) from the first crop of Affinisea. The four-year-old is a grandson of the classy chaser Snitton Lane, who won the Pendil Novices' Chase and the Grand Annual.

Additional entries for the sale will be taken and the catalogue will be printed next week and available on site at Aintree.

The horses will be available for inspection at the course from 1pm on Wednesday, April 6 and all day on Thursday with the sale scheduled to take place in the winners' enclosure after racing.
