Martinborough, sire of last season's Triumph Hurdle winner Majborough, has been introduced to the Capital Stud roster at a fee of €5,000 for 2025.

The dual Grade 3 winner by Deep Impact had initially started his career at Haras de Grandcamp in France and had resided at Haras de la Baie last year before his switch to Capital Stud.

A brother to black-type scorer Frere Jacques, the 16-year-old is the sire of three black-type National Hunt winners, headed by Majborough. He has also sired smart sorts on the Flat, including Saratoga Oaks scorer and Prix Saint-Alary runner-up Elusive Princess.

The evergreen Authorized returned to Ireland for the 2024 covering season and will again stand for a private fee.

The Derby-winning son of Montjeu is most famous as the sire of dual Grand National hero Tiger Roll and he had a second winner of the race last year with I Am Maximus.

The sire was also on the Grade 1 scoresheet last season with Readin Tommy Wrong, who struck in the Slaney Novice Hurdle, while his other Grade 1 winners include Nichols Canyon, Echoes In Rain and Let Me Love.

Capital Stud's National Hunt roster is completed by Australian Group 1 winner Mirage Dancer (€3,500), whose first crop are two-year-olds this year, and Royal Ascot winner Hunting Horn (€2,000), whose first crop have just turned three.

Alkumait, a Mill Reef Stakes-winning half-brother to 2,000 Guineas and Dewhurst winner Chaldean, has his first two-year-old runners this term. He will stand for a trimmed €3,000 (from €5,000), as will Castle Star (from €5,000), a Group-winning and Middle Park Stakes-placed son of Starspangledbanner whose first foals hit the ground shortly.
