A partial dispersal of horses from the yard of Shark Hanlon ahead of his upcoming suspension are among the eyecatching consignments for the Goffs UK October Horses In Training and Yearling Sale, the catalogue for which is now online.

A mixed sale of mainly horses in training with some Flat yearlings, the one-day auction will take place on Tuesday, October 22 in Doncaster and the opportunity to purchase sales race and bonus-qualified horses is an enormous incentive for purchasers.

Tim Kent, Goffs UK managing director, commented: “The October Sale offers buyers their last chance to secure a Donny yearling in 2024 and with some yearlings eligible for the Great British Bonus and Harry’s Half Million by Goffs, buyers can purchase in the hope of picking up their share of significant prize-money on the track."

Among the Flat yearlings in the catalogue are the progeny of established sires such as Iffraaj, Showcasing and Zoustar and leading first-season sires Mohaather and Sergei Prokofiev.

Yearlings from the first crops of Starman, Supremacy and Ubettabelieveit are also due to come under the hammer.

"The catalogue also features some attractive young National Hunt stock, as well as horses from many of the leading trainers, so there is plenty of quality to capture the attention of buyers,” added Kent.

Trainers with drafts in the sale include Richard Hannon, Kevin Ryan, Dan Skelton, Donald McCain, Charlie Johnston, Karl Burke, Gavin Cromwell and Iain Jardine.

Peter Lawlor has entered his recent Killarney debut bumper winner Murat (132), who is from the family of Willie Mullins' Champion Bumper winners Wither Or Which and Alexander Banquet.

The son of Eliot will be followed into the ring by another impressive Killarney winner, Andy Slattery's Not Now Darling (133), a four-year-old daughter of Notnowcato, who made a winning debut at the gorgeous Kerry course in July.

Supplementary entries for the sale are still being taken and the catalogue is available to view here.
