Breeding right to first-season sires Ardad and Time Test go under virtual hammer
Tattersalls' sale is Friday, with biding opening at 10am and closing from midday
The next sale to take place on the TattersallsOnline.com platform will feature breeding rights to the exciting first-season stallions Ardad and Time test.
The sale will take place on Friday, November 5, with bidding opening at 10am and closing from midday.
The first breeding right to be offered will be to Ardad. The son of Kodiac has enjoyed a great start to his career at stud, led by the Richard Fahey-trained dual Group 1 winner Perfect Power, while he has also sired Group 3 Sirenia Stakes winner Eve Lodge and the Group 2 Coventry Stakes-placed Vintage Clarets.
Ardad, who won the Group 2 Flying Childers and Listed Windsor Castle Stakes as a two-year-old, has covered in excess of 150 mares this season at Simon Sweeting’s Overbury Stud.
The second breeding right to be offered will be to the National Stud’s Time Test.
The son of Dubawi is already the sire of Group 3 Dick Poole Fillies’ Stakes winner Romantic Time and the German Group 3 Zukunftsrennen winner Rocchigiani, as well as Sunset Shiraz, placed in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes.
Five of his 11 winners have earned black type to date, including the Listed winners Tardis and The King's Horses, and he is currently the leading European first-crop sire by black-type winners.
A dual Group 2 winner and multiple Group 1-placed himself, Time Test covered his largest book to date in 2021. His yearlings were in great demand at the recent yearling sales and included Ballyvolane Stud’s 400,000gns colt purchased by SackvilleDonald.
The breeding right agreements and the deeds of novation for both Ardad and Time Test are available upon request by email to
