Breeding right in sensational Blue Point up for grabs on Darley's online platform
A breeding right to Blue Point will be offered online on the Darley winning bid platform, allowing breeders an opportunity to access one of Europe's most exciting young sires.
Having sired top-level winners Big Evs and Rosallion from his first crop in 2023, the champion sprinter again came up trumps this term as Rosallion landed the Irish 2,000 Guineas and St James's Palace Stakes. and Big Evs won the King George Stakes at Goodwood and was also third in the King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Another exciting son in Kind Of Blue became his sire's third individual Group/Grade 1 winner when landing the British Champions Sprint at Ascot in October. Blue Point's second crop includes the unbeaten Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte winner Sky Majesty, one of seven individual black-type performers.
His 2024 yearlings have been in high demand, selling for up to €850,000.
Sam Bullard, director of stallions, said: "As every aspect of the market continues to polarise, gaining access each season to these popular horses becomes ever more significant to breeders, which is why we are delighted to offer breeders the chance to obtain this breeding right in one of the most successful young stallions on our European roster, securing access to him for many years to come.
"I would encourage all potential bidders to register as soon as possible and, as ever, the team are on hand to assist with any queries regarding the bidding process."
The auction will run from 9am on Tuesday, December 10 to 3pm on Wednesday, December 11.
Buyers will need to be registered for a MyDarley account. Further information can be found here.
