Barely 24 hours after it was announced that State Of Rest had been snapped up for global stallion duties by Rathbarry and Newgate Studs and partners, his year-younger half-sister boosted their dam's record as a producer.

Tranquil Lady, an Australia half-sister to the triple Group 1 winner whose most recent victory came just last Sunday in the Prix Ganay, won the Group 3 Blue Wind Stakes at Naas for Joseph O'Brien and Teme Valley Racing for whom State Of Rest won the first two of his Group 1 victories.

Bred by Tinnakill Bloodstock, she is the third foal out of Repose an unraced Quiet American half-sister to Listed winners Echo River and Prince Alzain out of Virginia Stakes winner Monaassabaat, a daughter of Zilzal and American champion two-and three-year-old filly It's In The Air.

Monaassabaat is a half-sister to the dams of Group/Grade 1 winners Storming Home, Musical Chimes and Music Note who herself is the dam of 2021 Dubai World Cup winner Mystic Guide, who will commence stallion duties at Darley's Jonabell Farm in Kentucky next year.

Tranquil Lady is Group winner number 15 for Coolmore's Australia, winner of the Derby, Irish Derby and Juddmonte International. The 11-year-old son of Galileo and Ouija Board has sired four individual Group 1 winners headed by the Grand Prix de Paris winner Broome and he is the sire of 25 stakes winners so far in his stud career.

Offered as a foal at the Goffs November Sale by her breeders, Tranquil Lady was bought back at €30,000 but when she next went through the ring, at the 2020 Goffs Orby Sale which was held in Doncaster, following State Of Rest's third in the Group 2 Champagne Stakes she made £160,000 to Richard Ryan.

Repose has a two-year-old Dandy Man filly named Double Scoop who made €180,000 to Anthony Dutrow at last year's Orby sale to be trained in America. She visited Sea The Stars last year.

Tranquil Lady's Naas success continued a fine 24 hours for her late broodmare sire Quiet American who filled that same role in the pedigree of Kentucky Oaks winner Secret Oath. The Grade 1 winner by Fappiano is also the broodmare sire of champion Bernardini, whose daughter Innovative Idea foaled Matareya, successful in the Grade 2 Eight Belles Stakes for Brad Cox and Godolphin on the Kentucky Oaks undercard.

The Blue Wind Stakes has been an indicator of quality over the years with recent winners including Tarnawa, Zhukova and Pleascach who all went on to success at the highest level. Was, whose Dubawi daughter Concert Hall beat Tranquil Lady in the Listed Salsabil Stakes at Navan last month, finished third in the race back in 2012 before going on to win the Oaks at Epsom.
