Alpha Des Obeaux and Balko Des Flos head entries for Goffs' Online March Sale
Gigginstown's Graded winners hold Randox Grand National entries
Three Randox Grand National entries in Alpha Des Obeaux, Ryanair Chase winner Balko Des Flos and Graded scorer Ballyoptic head the lots for Goffs' Online March Sale later this month.
Alpha Des Obeaux (Lot 47), a Grade 2 winner over fences and runner-up to Thistlecrack in the 2016 World Hurdle, and the 2018 Ryanair winner Balko Des Flow (20) are two high-class lots from Gigginstown, while Ballyoptic (31), a Grade 1 winner over hurdles and dual Grade 2 chase victor, is another eyecatching entry.
The auction, which includes youngstock plus some smart horses in training, will also offer hurdles winner The Brimming Water (28), Le Musee (35) and the Grade 2-placed mare Kalahari Queen (63).
Goffs chief executive Henry Beeby commented: “Goffs have a proud and proven record of selling Grand National winners, having sold 35 winners of the race, including three-time race winner Red Rum and dual winner Tiger Roll.
"We've offered numerous Randox Grand National entries in recent years and they are always well received by the market given the rare opportunity they represent, whilst they certainly add something special to any sale."
He added: “Our online sales through our proven Goffs Online platform have been well supported by vendors and buyers from around the world, and, with all horses offered with a veterinary certificate, which buyers can vet against post sale, prospective purchasers can bid with confidence.
“Those wishing to bid online must first register and be approved by Goffs. Registrations are open and all registrations must be made before the deadline at midday on Tuesday, March 23.”
