Triple Group 1-winning sprinter and young sire Advertise will relocate to Knockmullen House Stud in County Wexford for 2025.

The eight-year-old son of Showcasing stood his first three seasons at the National Stud in Newmarket before relocating to Martyn Meade's Manton Park in Wiltshire in 2023. Having begun life at stud for £25,000, he will be available at a fee of €5,000 next year.

Knockmullen's Gordon Doyle said: "It's a pretty big departure for us to be standing a Flat sire, but when a horse like Advertise pops up you can't really say no.

"He was a top-class racehorse with great looks, and he produces good lookers and has made a great start to his stud career with three Group winners in 2024. I'm very grateful to Martyn Meade and the team at Manton for the opportunity."

Advertise has indeed enjoyed a good year, with his progeny headed by Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes winner Cool Hoof Luke, Group 3 Musidora Stakes winner Secret Satire, and Al Shabab Storm, who landed the Group 3 Goldene Peitsche at Baden-Baden. His juvenile son Billboard Star was also Group 2-placed in both the July and Mill Reef Stakes.

Doyle said: "I'm under no illusion it's going to be hard to turn the commercial opinion of him around, as it can be a very unforgiving place. But he had a very good season in 2024. To sire horses like Cool Hoof Luke, Secret Satire and Al Shabab Storm from just two crops is very exciting.

"He also has some nice prospects for 2025, including Shout, Bullet Point and Minstrel Knight.

"A huge factor in deciding to stand Advertise was the response I got from trainers. The feedback was very positive and, after all, the aim is to produce racehorses. So if the trainers like them and keep buying them, hopefully he'll continue to prove himself a good sire. His oldest are only three so, in my opinion, it's too early to write him off."

Meade trained Advertise to win five times, including the Phoenix Stakes at two and Commonwealth Cup and Maurice de Gheest at three. He also won the Group 2 July Stakes and placed second in the July Cup and Group 2 Coventry Stakes.

Meade said: "While retaining full ownership and acknowledging Advertise had a brilliant season this year, siring the winner of the Gimcrack and the Musidora. I feel he'll have an even better chance being based in Ireland, where there is a far greater breeding appetite than in the UK.

"As always, I'll be supporting him. I know he's in good hands with Gordon and his team."

Advertise joins a roster that includes another former Manton Park resident in Technician, as well as Mekhtaal and Silas Marner.

All of them will be available for viewing on the Irish Stallion Trail on January 10 and 11.
