The brilliant Minding, winner of seven Group 1 races, has produced a filly by the late, great Japanese supersire Deep Impact.

The seven-year-old daughter of Galileo was in training for three seasons, and won the Moyglare Stud Stakes and Fillies' Mile at two, then swept the 1,000 Guineas, Oaks, Pretty Polly and Nassau Stakes before she dropped back to a mile to beat Ribchester in the QEII during a vintage three-year-old campaign.

She returned at four but was limited to just one run, in which she comfortably landed the Group 2 Mooresbridge Stakes. Upon her retirement, her trainer Aidan O'Brien said: "She was an incredible filly and was one of the best fillies I have trained.

"She had the most brilliant physique and a wonderful pedigree. Above all, it was her mind that made her special because she was such a pleasure to deal with and had a brilliant attitude."

Minding is out of Lillie Langtry, winner of the Coronation Stakes and the Matron Stakes, which makes her a sister to the Group 3-winning Kissed By Angels.

Lillie Langtry has been mated exclusively with Galileo since she retired to the Coolmore broodmare band, meaning she also has a two-year-old daughter and a yearling filly by the perennial champion sire on the ground.

The new arrival is bred on the same cross responsible for Group 1-winning juvenile and 2,000 Guineas scorer Saxon Warrior, who is by Deep Impact and out of another daughter of Galileo, the Moyglare Stud Stakes victress Maybe.

Minding was among a select group of Coolmore's Galileo mares who shuttled to Japan to be covered by Deep Impact, who has been crowned champion sire in his native land each year since 2012.

Minding, who last year produced a colt by Deep Impact, was joined in 2018 by four-time Group 1 winner Winter, Maybe's sisters Fluff and Promise To Be True, as well as Best In The World, a sister to the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe heroine Found.
