'A catalogue of quality' - Goffs November Breeding Stock Sale entries headlined by Goliath's dam

The dam of this year's King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Goliath headlines the 348-strong catalogue for the Goffs November Breeding Stock Sale.

Taking place from November 22-23, the sale will see quality drafts from the likes of the Aga Khan Studs, Ballylinch Stud, Baroda Stud, Derrinstown Stud, Godolphin, Irish National Stud, Moyglare Stud, Newtown Stud, Norelands and The Castlebridge Consignment.

The broodmare sire profile includes Acclamation, Cape Cross, Dark Angel, Exceed And Excel, Fastnet Rock, Frankel, Galileo, High Chaparral, Invincible Spirit, Kingman, Kodiac, Le Havre, Lope de Vega, Night Of Thunder, Pivotal, Royal Applause, Sea The Stars, Shamardal, Sinndar, Siyouni, Street Cry and Teofilo. 

Sires with their first mares in foal include Chaldean, Erevann, Good Guess, Hurricane Lane, Little Big Bear, Modern Games, Mostahdaf, Native Trail, Paddington, The Antarctic and Vadeni. 

Besides Gouache, the dam of Goliath, other highlights include Earth (Lot 1181), a daughter of Galileo and champion Alpha Centauri in foal to New Bay; Jm Jackson, the dam of the 2024 Molecomb Stakes winner Big Mojo (1199); Flight Of Dreams, a sister to Prix Ganay winner Cloth Of Stars (1192); Rainfall Of Colour, a Frankel half-sister to champion miler Ribchester in foal to Wootton Bassett (1159); and M’Lady Nicole, a Sea The Stars sister to Group 2 winner Knight To Behold in foal to Night Of Thunder (1187).

More notable offerings include Scarlett O’Hara, a Group 3 and Listed-placed Frankel filly from the family of Echo Of Light (1203); Her Honour, the dam of high-class sprinter Vadream in foal to Night Of Thunder (1182); and Mer Lunaire, a half-sister to last month's Prix du Moulin winner Tribalist (1128).

Goffs Group chief executive Henry Beeby said: "If you’re looking to breed a Group 1 winner, come to Goffs. Eight Group 1 winners in seven countries and all from mares sold at the November Sale for between €11,500 and €150,000 proves the potential on offer and we are pleased to present another quality catalogue with drafts from many of the sport’s leading breeders alongside some truly special mares such as Gouache, dam of Group 1 winner and Japan Cup contender Goliath.
