Gale Force Ten to relocate to Sweden for the 2020 breeding season
Second-season sire has stood for five seasons at the Irish National Stud
Swedish stud-owners have continued to bolster their rosters ahead of the 2020 breeding season, with second-season sire Gale Force Ten to relocate from the Irish National Stud to Ljungstorps Stuteri, a month after it was announced Mustajeeb would take up stud duties at Ravdansens Stuteri.
Trained by Aidan O'Brien for the Coolmore partners, Gale Force Ten finished second to Reckless Abandon in the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes and third to the same rival in the Middle Park Stakes as a juvenile.
He continued to progess as a three-year-old finishing second to Magician in the Irish 2,000 Guineas and fourth to Style Vendome in the French version, before claiming his biggest win in the Group 3 Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Gale Force Ten also enjoyed a short stint in Dubai as a four-year-old having been transferred to the care of Mike de Kock, who trained him for Wilgerbosdrift Stud.
The son of Oasis Dream took up stud duties at the Irish National Stud, from where he has sired the Windsor Castle Stakes third Dom Carlos and the Class 2 handicap scorer Top Breeze, and will relocate to Sweden after five seasons there.
Bred by Stowell Hill and partners, Gale Force Ten is the best performer out of the Listed winner Ronaldsay and shares his third dam Birch Creek with the champion older horse and sire Postponed.
A fee for Gale Force Ten will be announced in due course.
