Legendary golfer Gary Player to offer colt at National Yearling Sale
Breeder has supported Galileo's stallion son Global View

Legendary golfer Gary Player will once again be represented at the Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale in Johannesburg this week, which takes place at the TBA complex in Germiston from Wednesday until Friday.
The Gary Player Stud Farm, breeders of such notable performers as champion Lady Windermere and Group 1-winning two-year-old World Over, will consign a colt () by Galileo's exciting young stallion son Global View, whose first yearlings have already fetched up to R1,300,000 (£71,200/€82,200).
The November-born youngster is out of Bavaria, a full-sister to Jebel Ali Sprint winner Drift Ice and half-sister to Abashiri, winner of the South African Triple Crown which comprises the Gauteng or Cape Guineas, SA Classic and SA Derby.
The colt's third dam is Fashing, the champion broodmare in South Africa in 2003, the same year her son Yard-Arm was crowned Horse of the Year.
Player also bred Frosty Rain (), a daughter of the same stallion who will be offered by Ascot Stud. The October-foaled filly hails from the same family as South African champions Edict Of Nantes and Colonial Girl.
Having sold his Colesberg farm, Player will be retaining his interests in thoroughbred breeding via eight mares kept at Equi Librium College near the Plettenberg Bay property where he spends most of his time in South Africa these days.
