Who wins York’s feature sprint handicap (3.40)?

Andrew Cooper, tipster Pure Angel could give James Horton a welcome Saturday winner. She was highly progressive at two, culminating in an easy win at Wolverhampton, and recorded another personal best at Goodwood three weeks ago, finishing second to one who had an uninterrupted passage on the far side. A strongly run 6f could be right up her street.

Ted Durcan, bloodstock agent Quinault is very much on the upgrade, and with Connor Planas claiming a valuable 5lb he seems a worthy favourite. A draw in stall 20 on the stands' side should not be a hindrance as last year's winner Harry Three was drawn 19 of 19.

Jamie McBride, William Hill Rabaah is just about top of my long shortlist in what looks a good running. I thought he went with promise in a higher grade last time and this quick 6f will suit. Washington Heights and Chasseral are others I was keen on.

Rishi Persad, broadcaster I like Rabaah. He didn’t show his true colours behind Shaquille at Newbury last time out but he’s clearly better than that. I'm looking forward to seeing him on fast ground as his dam enjoyed it.

Richard Young, Raceform In a typically strong running I’ll be giving Dark Kestrel another chance. Everything went wrong for him on his handicap debut on the all-weather at Lingfield. He should be seen to much better effect back over a straight 6f and he appeals at the prices.

Can you give us one to look out for on ITV4 at Sandown or Chester?

Andrew Cooper Sophia's Starlight was well thought of last year and a switch to front-running tactics this season has paid dividends. You could hardly ask for a better scenario than emerging from stall two in Chester's 3.20, a good track for pacesetters.

Ted Durcan Tafreej travels well in his races and could be suited going around a bend. I fancy him to run well in Chester's 3.20.

Jamie McBride I would be siding with the unexposed horses in Sandown's 2.15 and would marginally prefer New Dimension to Bodorgan. Both have more to offer and have been found a good opportunity.

Rishi Persad Caragio had some useful form as a two-year-old and I'm happy to write off his return run at York where things just didn’t work out. Judged on his best runs last year his handicap mark still looks very fair and he can go close in Sandown's 3.25.

Richard Young Repertoire at Sandown (2.15). This recent Newmarket winner caught the eye in a race that wasn’t run to suit at Epsom last time and he’ll be suited by the return to this more conventional track.
